Autumn & Winter Wool Lookbook 2026: The AlphaFluffy Collection

As autumn's crisp breeze whispers in the air, we wrap our pets in warmth. Here's the AlphaFluffy wool collection — what's in it, who it's for, and how to pick the right piece for your fur baby this season.

Why wool, and why now

There's a specific moment every year when the morning walk starts feeling different. The sidewalks get colder. Your dog pauses on the porch and gives you that look — the one that says, it's brisk out here, human. That's the moment wool season begins.

We love wool more than any other material we work with, and not because it's trendy. Wool does things no synthetic fabric can match:

  • It regulates temperature. Unlike fleece (which just traps heat), natural wool adjusts to your pet's body. Warm when they're cold, breathable when they're active.
  • It repels moisture without suffocating. A light rain? Your dog stays dry underneath. A bit of drool on the collar? It wicks away instead of souring.
  • It's naturally anti-bacterial. Wool fiber structure resists odor buildup. Fleece and polyester need constant washing — wool airs out between wears.
  • It gets softer, not harder, over time. Good wool breaks in like a good pair of jeans. The older it gets, the better it feels against your dog's coat.

The 2026 AlphaFluffy wool collection

1. 100% Sheep Wool Dog Onesie — Cozy Knit Winter Bodysuit

Our bestseller, and not by accident. Full-body coverage from shoulder to tail, a rib-knit neckline that doesn't gap, and sheep wool so soft it doesn't need a lining. This is the piece for dogs who actually hate the cold — whippets, Italian greyhounds, dachshunds, small breeds who lose heat fast.

Sizing runs XS through XL. We recommend measuring your dog's chest circumference and back length — our sizing guide walks through exactly how. If you're between sizes, size up; sheep wool has a little stretch but fits best with a finger of room.

2. Cloud Sleeveless 100% Wool Dog Sweater

For dogs who need warmth but don't want full-leg coverage. Sleeveless design leaves the front legs free for running, while keeping the core warm. The "cloud" texture is something we achieved after a lot of trial and error — a loose, airy knit that looks like a rolled fog and feels even softer than it looks.

Especially great for dogs with short fur who run hot-and-cold — they get warmth when they stop, mobility when they go.

3. Cloud Two-Legged Wool Pet Sweater

A two-front-leg sweater for dogs and cats who prefer a more traditional pullover. Same cloud knit as above, with a structured chest panel that sits flat. We make this one in three colorways — Light Blossom Camel, Ebony Brown, and Turquoise Blue — because your pet's winter wardrobe deserves the same care as yours.

4. Reversible Sheep Wool Dog Sweater — Double-Sided Design

One sweater, two looks. The reversible construction lets you flip between a solid neutral and a contrasting pattern depending on the day. We developed this piece for the pet parents who take photos — you know who you are — and wanted a closet staple that could work for morning walks and park meetups.

5. Fluffy Merino Wool Detachable Hound Collar

Technically a collar, but it belongs in this list because the wool lining is what makes it special. The plush merino cuff detaches for washing, and the core collar is full-grain Italian leather underneath. It's our answer to the "I want a leather collar, but it's winter and my dog has a sensitive neck" problem.

How to choose

A few rules we share with every customer:

  • Start with coverage. Small/short-haired breeds → full onesie. Medium breeds that run hot → sleeveless or two-legged. Dogs who only need cold-morning warmth → detachable wool collar.
  • Check the wool weight. Our sheep wool onesies are dense (for deep cold). Our cloud-knit sweaters are lighter (for transitional weather). Match the weight to your climate.
  • Think about mobility. Hiking dog? Go sleeveless. Couch dog? Full coverage is fine.
  • Measure before you buy. Wool has some give, but a badly-fitting sweater is uncomfortable. Use our sizing guide, or message us with your dog's breed and weight and we'll recommend a size.

How to care for wool

Wool doesn't need to be washed as often as you think. Air it out between wears. Spot-clean small messes. When you do need to wash:

  • Hand wash in cool water with a wool-specific detergent (never hot water — it will felt the fiber)
  • Lay flat to dry on a towel — never wring, and never put in a dryer
  • Store folded, not on hangers (hangers stretch the shoulders)

With this kind of care, a good wool sweater lasts years — ours tend to outlast the trends.

The feeling of a wool winter

There's something about seeing your dog in a well-made wool piece that doesn't happen with other materials. The fur and the wool blend visually. The way it moves with them when they walk feels natural. And when they curl up on the couch at the end of a cold walk, wrapped in their own personal onesie — honestly, it might be the warmest part of your house.

Autumn doesn't last long enough. Winter is here. Let's get your fur baby ready.
